L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation Review

Hello world ;) This is my first ever blog post and it's exciting but scary as well so please bare with me. When it comes to foundation for a long time I just stuck to the higher end brands because I felt no drugstore foundation was really up to par with the higher end ones. In the past year or so I feel that drugstore makeup products are really stepping up their game and I've been finding so many great quality items without breaking my bank account. In my latest drugstore haul I purchased the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation which retails for $12.99 at CVS. I will try my best to break this down as easy as I can,

Packaging: Unlike most foundations that come in a glass container the Infallible's packaging is more like a BB Cream plastic tube packaging. I love that I can carry this foundation around in my purse with no problem of it breaking or being too bulky. It comes with 1.0 FL. OZ which seems to be the norm for foundations but I can tell that I will run through this foundation within a month.

Color: In the Infallible Pro Matte range their are 8 colors which lucky for us olive skinned beauties most of them are yellow toned. Unfortunately I feel that the color range is very limited and no one past tan would be able to find a matching color. My last drugstore foundation was Maybelline Fit Me in 330 and I didn't like that it was more pink and it went a bit gray on my face. My holy grail foundation that I feel matches me the best is my MAC Fluid Fix foundation in NC35. I chose Natural Beige in the Infallible and matched it between the other two foundations. I must say I'm very glad it matched the Fluid Fix in both color and consistency.

Product: This foundation is a demi-matte finish which wont leave you face flat and dull like matte foundations tend to do. The coverage is medium but it is buildable and the texture of this foundation is amazingly light. I applied this foundation with my Real Techniques Buffer Brush first and it felt like I hadn't applied anything to my face because of how quick this dries. I like my foundation to be full coverage so my second layer I applied with my Beauty Blender. The outcome was beautiful and it amazed me how well this matched my skin tone. I also skipped the primer to see if it really would last up a long time like it claims.

 right after applying around 11am

After work at 6pm and as you can see
my contour still is there and my face
still looks smooth and covered.

This was before washing my face at around 11:30pm
and my face makeup still looks just as great as it
did in the morning. I'm super impressed !

Overall, I'm blown away! This may just be my new holy grail foundation. I love how light it feels but it still covers like a dream. I'm mostly impressed on how long this foundation lasts and it doesn't make my contour or blush look streaky towards the end of the night.
